We've been coming here for over 5 years now. The staff has witnessed the birth of both my kids and treat them like their own with how frequent we visit. Highly recommend the Playboy roll, their salmon sushi melts in your mouth, my wife and son devour the steak hibachi, and my daughter always tries to eat them out of their crab sticks and spicy crab rolls. The staff is always so kind and caring. The quality of the food is so good and very affordable for the portions you receive. We've moved twice now and still drive over 35 minutes to come here.
One of my favorite things about this restaurant is the decor. Very colorful and lots of those cute good luck cats. Service is always fast and attentive. Highly recommend going in for their lunch specials, which are a great value and so delicious. The shrimp tempura and Philly rolls are so good!
Edit 4/27/2019: A few minor changes have made a big difference. Decorative umbrellas on the lights add a nice cultural flare while making the light soft and indirect. Some new wall art, updated booths/chairs, and even some bathroom remodeling have vastly improved the feel of dining in. No caveats anymore: this is my favorite sushi place in Johnson County. Original review: Our sushi go-to, to go The food is fantastic and the service is pleasant. The atmosphere is calm and quiet and the decorations are well balanced between east and west. The specials have local ties and we've never had an issue with to-go orders on phone or in person. That said, it is part of a strip mall and the eastern polish doesn't quite overcome the drop ceilings for atmosphere. I can't rate highly enough for carry out, but would think twice about dining in.
Wonderful sushi! Went there for the lunch special, 7.50 for 2 rolls. Excellent quality and easy access off 151st Street. Friendly staff, but it wasn't very busy for a Saturday noon. I figured this little place would be much busier given the quality and price of the meal. I hope this little gem continues to be open, I found my new go to sushi joint!
Great food if you are looking for above average sushi. There are things I wouldn't order, but the common stuff such as Philly rolls are really good and the prices are hard to beat. A little renovation inside would go a long way for making the atmosphere vibes better but service was great.
Went for lunch on a weekday. I had the sushi/sashimi combo; my wife and daughter both got bento boxes. The prices were very reasonable and the food was good. The decor is also pretty cool. The service wasn't bad, but not particularly good - our server may have been having a bad day. All in all, I would definitely go back.
Little gem tucked away on the southside of Olathe. Sushi was presented well and was pleasing to the palate. I was charmed by the art and decor, so I took some snapshots. For 5:30pm on a Saturday, we were the only people in there. Numerous carry out orders came and went, but no sit down patrons. If you are on the fence about whether to try it out or not, give it a go.
